They are second-generation craftsmen who specialise in bone furniture that they produce in Shilpgram, Jodhpur. In 2012, Rahmat Ali took an executive decision to stop the production of small gifting items and focus solely on furniture products. A decision that has served them well to date.
Rahmat Ali, 38, and his brother Mohammad Faruk are skilled Indian artisans specialising in the craft of Bone and Horn. Following in their father's footsteps, they began their training at a young age. In 2000, they purchased a new location in Shilpgram, Jodhpur, an artisan-dedicated area, with government support in the form of subsidiaries. Rahmat Ali took over the business in 2006 and expanded their network beyond the local market. And thanks to a generous mix of talent and luck, they have been fairly satisfied with the economic growth and revenue generation.
