He is a tie-and-dye artisan from Jodhpur. Tasleem learned and trained under his maternal uncle for 6 years and then started his own business with the skills of Bandhej.
Mastering the Tie and Dye Craft in Jodhpur's Chauda Community
He runs a successful, large-scale business with his family in the Chauda community. With 25 years of experience, Tasleem learned the craft from his maternal uncle and credits his mother for design sense and his uncle for colour expertise. Alongside mastering the craft, he completed his education through night school and college. Tasleem specialises in working with pure fabrics while also collaborating with other craftsmen in the community on products made with different materials.
